Decided to do some night photography with catting ass Darren. We caught the sunset over the Golden gate Bridge but first we parked the car and had to walk for about 10 to 15 minutes up the hill. After getting nearly to the top then we made a right and had to walk through a lot of branches to get to the top of the hill. It’s was my first time going to this particular place but it was pretty nice , i’ve honestly been getting tired of taking pictures of the Golden gate Bridge lately and probably won’t be doing too much more photographs of it. After taking photos of the bridge briefly went back down the hill and I honestly got some pretty good photos of the stars and the highway to see like these photos more than The Golden gate Bridge enjoy the photos
NYC DAY 2 2K14
Was up all night trying to take as many photos as I could when I first got here I couldn’t help but fall asleep. Anyways when I first checked into the hotel I peeped on the side, there was a tour of Brooklyn on Thursday. So this morning I woke up early got ready and went down to the lobby to meet the tour guide his name was Dan Shaki and he would be showing us around Brooklyn. We started over to Dumbo which is a very popular area in Brooklyn as we got off the subway we went to look at a couple areas of graffiti and artwork one of the most popular one was of a artist located in New York and now clothing company OBEY I forgot his real name. Then we headed down the street to a bookstore in Dumbo then passed by the Manhattan Bridge. After that we went around a lot of areas of Brooklyn thank you Dan for giveing a great tour and telling me and The other tourists a lot of knowledge about Brooklyn after that he had another tour so I was on my own decided to walk on the Brooklyn Bridge and take some photos part three will be tomorrow thanks for checking out my blog.
NYC DAY1 2014
This trip was extremely spontaneous. I wanted to go back to New York for about a year now since it’s summertime I have a lot of time on my hands and ever since my mom passed away I have not been on the airplane much but I’m trying to change that so I booked a flight and said I would leave. Since I would be going on my own and basically being my own tour guide from the city I’ve been to a lot but usually somebody guiding me it was going to be extremely interesting. I got to SFO and thought I might not get on the flight but luckily I did since I fly standby always a big chance. At first I was listed for a window seat but they listed me wrong so I got the middle seat luckily the guy next to me let me snap some photos. Once I got to New York I knew it was going to be hot and humid but the bigger obstacle was finding a hotel didn’t want to spend too much money on a hotel when I’m not really going to be there. I ended up finding a hotel in Manhattan which was Great choice because it’s located near everything . It was overpriced but I suspected it would be. I knew this trip was going to involve a lot of walking so I wore comfortable shoes anyways the first place I went was to the Rockefeller Center “TOP OF THE ROCK” observation. I didn’t want to go back to the Emire State building since I’ve been there like four times and I want to be different view I actually like this one way more. After that I headed to find some more places to take photos then went back to the hotel fell asleep.
Sidenote my hotel room reminds me of a prison cell that was designed by IKEA.
LONG EXPOSURE WEEK
This week I’ve been doing a lot of longer exposure photography started off this week going to San Francisco with Darren to snap a couple photos then back to the East Bay the next day Viet went with me to photograph some LightStream photos and went to San Francisco to meet up with fabio to shoot. Enjoy the photos.
Earlier that week went to Chinatown to find some smoke bombs walked around for about 15 minutes looking for it. It really took about two hours total because no one knew exactly where to get the smoke moms they just knew it was in Chinatown was a pretty big headache to find actually also some pictures from San Francisco and the rest of the week.
KENNETH GRADUATION
EAST BAY ADVENTURE
Woke up did a couple errands then met up with Lucy. She’s leaving the bay area and moving for school so we planned to take some photos before she left. We went to some spots in the East Bay and Alameda and downtown Oakland at the Cathedral of Christ the lights. There has not been many architecture buildings I’ve been to that have taken my breath away for a couple seconds but this church definitely did. I love wood in architecture at one time I wanted to be a architect and I find this building to be outstanding.
After that got some ice cream at the cookie bar since it wasn’t that far away.
SF MINI MEET
As usual I got a late start because believe it or not I’m a slow person usually takes me a while to get ready but this time it wasn’t my fault after getting to his house we went to Bart and met up with everyone . After that we headed to treasure Island to take photos. I been here probably 30 times now so I was not really exciting anymore but they seem to have fun going to new places we did jump the gate which was the first time for me as well and I did get a unique angle on the bay bridge after that we headed back to San Francisco to pick up Adam after that we headed to Chinatown and bumped into my friend Lucy. After that try to do some rooftop shooting but it was a fail because it was so foggy that we took some photos in the tunnel and called it a night. Hopefully next time I get a good image.
NAPA TRIP
Took a trip with Nai and Mary to Napa Valley to go get macaroons and wine taste Took about an hour and a half to get there once we got there went to get macaroons first then headed to Gotts to get a burger I ended up getting a chicken sandwich with outside the restaurant was pretty good. After we ate we left and headed to the next winery this winery was a castle called Castillo di amorosa we tasted several different wines and I ended up picking out a wine that was pretty good and got one from my aunt. After that we went outside the castle and there were several animals in the back. I’m not really into line but it was really good thanks Nai for taking me.
Here is the outfit I wore to napa.
The next day I decided to take, more like do a series of nature shots since I sold my macro lens I rarely taking photos of flowers or nature. I wanted to incorporate water for a series of flour shots I use my faucet and a mess and shower settings to get the proper rain drops. Overall think the photos came out really strong and I might be present in these at school and will hopefully continue on with the series. I also got a couple photos of my neighborhood cats that turned out really good my opinion looks like he’s mad and mugging but he was just yawning. Enjoy the photos!
INTERNATIONAL UNDERGROUND MEET DAY!
Woke up this morning check if I was prepared and clear memory cards charge batteries try to decide if I wanted to bring a tripod or not but decided just bring my camera. Went to pick up Nikk then to Darren house to walk to bart. Thought I would’ve been late but ended up only five minutes late.
This was the first time I’ve ever hosted a Instagram meet up ever and it took more work than I expected partly my fault for not telling people exactly where to meet at BART. Either ways I got the group of people together that I could find then we headed to The selected BART stations.
I will like to thank everyone that has participated in the event if they were able to make it to the meet up or not! I was aiming for about 30 people at the meet up but it was more like 20 some people left on their own before I could get them in a group photo. Besides that overall there’s 30+ people participating in the events so that school I would just like to get everyone in the photo nonetheless I think the event was successful for my first time hosting a Instagram meet up and doing it by myself pretty much but not without the help of many Instagram accounts.
I like to get a major shout out to CLIFTON ( UNDERGROUND_NYC ) which is the reason I’m hosting this event thanks for giving me the opportunity.
