Japan Day 2

We started off our morning waking up around 6 a.m to get the day started. We stopped by 7/11 to grab some water and some snacks but we ended up buying some cool snacks. (By the way, their 7/11 is 200% times better than the ones in the U.S…its worth the stop every time)
We arrived in Tokyo at night so this is my first time experiencing the city in the daytime. There was some left over snow on the ground and definitely a lot of trash bags out on the street. I guess it was trash day. We walked to the Shibuya Crossing, which was about a 10-minute walk from our Airbnb. We took some photos around Shibuya before hopping on the train. Their transportation system was pretty amazing! It was very crowded and being that we don’t speak any Japanese (Google Translator was our best friend), we were pretty slow at figuring out what to do and how to get on the right train. We all looked lost. Luckily, some of the people that work on the ticket booths speak a bit of English.

Our first stop was Harajuku, which was about a 10-minute train ride from the Shibuya station. We explored some stores but we still haven’t had breakfast so that was our next task. Find breakfast… at least not sushi or ramen.

The restaurant we picked was an Americanized-Hawaiian inspired spot and it was pretty good. We had pancakes with over-the-top toppings, loco mocos, and other typical American breakfast. After venturing around Harajuku, we went to the Meiji Jingu Shrine where they had rows of sake wrapped in straw barrels. Even though it was sunny, the weather felt like it was around 30° and snow was still present. We stopped by Supreme, Undefeated, Atmos, a couple other streetwear stores and sneaker boutiques right after the shrine.
After checking out overpriced sneakers and street wear, we decided to go to the World Trade Center Observatory Deck for sunset. It would probably cost you no more than $7 (620 yen) to get in. It was a beautiful view of the city. We at least spent over an hour just looking at the view and taking pictures. We ended our night checking out the Gundam statue in Tokyo’s Odaiba district and grabbing some Krispy Kreme donuts inside the mall.

P.S The donuts in Japan need some improvement.

Japan Day 1

I haven’t been updating my website in so long! But I need to change that starting with my trip to Japan this is day one not many images but day two will be about five times as much as this post. Anyways back to my journey to Japan. Woke up headed to get some breakfast and airport with Altoni and Sarah once we got to the airport we met up with Eric Rolo and Mindy. I ended up sitting in front of them while they were slightly in the rear of the airplane once we landed we took a train to Shibuya. From there we walked to the Airbnb after getting slightly lost. Once we put our luggage down we left the Airbnb and found a ramen shop. It was basically a machine that you select your entrée off of. Then you give your ticket to the lady we were actually pretty confused and probably looked stupid but ended up figuring it out after somebody else did so then took our seat. I ended up ordering potstickers and they all ordered Ramen looking back at this experience I wish I would’ve ordered Ramen another interesting fact in Japan their eggs are orange I mean extremely orange. In the US there more yellow. After eating we headed around Shibuya to wonder around for the rest of the night. Stay tuned for the next post!

Days in Chicago

Back like I’m 45

(That’s a Jordan reference) Out of all the places I’ve been going this year which I haven’t been actively posting on my website. Chicago has to be the most frequent place I have been this year this has to be the third or fourth time I can’t really even remember now. One day I’m at work and I’m talking to Phillip and he tells me they’re going to Chicago and I was like oh shit! I will not mind going back there since I love Chicago and I have family out there anyways, so I ended up tagging along with everyone it was about 10 of us and this would be the first time traveling with a big group of people like this going to take photos. Definitely will be an interesting trip considering getting on Rooftops and lurking.

Once I landed at the airport I had it to the hostel and met up with everyone there. We immediately got ready and Aaron took us to a rooftop that was pretty close by. For about 15 to 20 minutes we climbed up and got to the top finally. At the top of the building there was water and everyone loves reflection so that took a while aha. We ended up staying up the whole night from when I got there at 10 we lurked around Chicago until the next morning to catch sunrise and also meet up with Chicago Instagramers. It definitely was a long night but fun only complaint I have was it being really cold and feeling like a zombie for sunrise. We over back to the hostel took a nap then met up with everyone to get Shake shack and lurked around the city.

For sunset we went to the Hancock building to 360 Chicago for A beautiful sunset. After that we walked around and went to Nike town and Jordan store. Some of the group went to sleep and some of us stayed around to shoot. The next morning we woke up around five something and headed to the bean to catch sunrise . After that we went to Wildberry which I have been with Altoni so I know this place is good. While everyone else was going to Willis Tower I was trying to find a way to get it for free but the coupon expire so I just took a nap. I am glad I did because the lines were crazy.

Me and Alex overslept but we ended up getting to the airport for them to take helicopter flights over Chicago for sunset and night time I didn’t fly sadly. Once they were done I picked hash house to go go And we all got food comas while watching drunk people go to the hospital very entertaining and slightly pathetic. Once we left the restaurant we went around and took photos downtown and got into some cool places along the way.

Enjoy the photos it’s about 90 of them and there nothing spectacular but more just documenting my trip for the most part most of these are quick edits.

This past weekend

This weekend was one of the better weekends I’ve had in a while since I’ve been working every day I don’t really have a chance to hang out with my friends or go out but this weekend was really cool . On Halloween I was working on my car and got a text message about fog over the Golden gate Bridge I am mediately check the camera and there was low fog so I booked a helicopter flight and went up with Alex and Ozzie. I raced over the San Mateo bridge and wine I got to the airport the fog had disappeared. I was pretty disappointed but i’m really glad I went up because there was low fog in downtown San Francisco that’s pretty rare it usually is low around sutro tower and the Goldengate but rarely is low in the city. After we flew we decided to head to San Francisco to meet up with some of the homies . Once we got there everyone was out trick-or-treating and it was hard to find parks. We ended up grabbing some burgers then going to play pool. I haven’t play pool in a long time but it was definitely fun.

The next day I hung out with Altoni and we went to The city to meet up with a couple of friends at off the grid. After that we drove to Sutro baths and ended up going to the nowrongwaySF Instagram meet it was about a mile and a half hike. Once we got down there it was pretty gloomy and cold but it was actually the first time I’ve been down there kind of cool to see something I actually have not seen in San Francisco. After hiking back up in the dark we went to go eat Mexican food. We ended up chilling there for a while having fun and talking. Once we got up we decided to go back to the pool hall  so overall it was a very fun weekend! Enjoy the photos.

Sunset with friends

I’ve been neglecting to post any photos for months now and it’s been getting to me. So I’m going to try my best to change that. These photos are a couple months old but I’m trying to catch up on post in order. These photos are from San Francisco area in Milpita’s area with Ryan and Austin enjoy the photos.

Trip with friends

Was honored to be in a gallery show in downtown San Francisco close to market street at a pop up shop! Chris created this event and it turned out great! Lots of familiar faces and a good atmosphere. I can’t wait to do more gallery shows this year that’s one thing I am trying to do more of,  well goals that I am setting for myself. I also made a video for the gallery show. Take a look!!

Went on a nature outing with Nate, Jerome, Jose, Austin, Adam and Justin. We went out to Pacifica to see the Pacific ocean not trying to be to Specific about The avenger (JOKE) aha. I’ve been here about two times first time I went was last year on Thanksgiving day and the reason I remember I usually go to my families gathering for Thanksgiving but before I did that we went out to shoot anyway I’m getting off subject! This time around it was not as overcast and dark. It was a fun adventure with the homies.

Show around

Dom text me letting me know that he was coming down from Sacramento with Ryan who is from Florida visiting to shoot his car and to hang out. The next morning he text me and stop by my house and convince me to come along. At first I wasn’t going to come because I’ve been having car trouble. So I try to take them to a cool restaurant in Berkeley but once we got there the line was out the door so we headed to blackbear diner and grab something to eat after we waited for Jose to come and we drove out to San Francisco to take photos. I’m just now getting into automotive photography so most of the places I know were to take photos are for landscape photography but it plays into automotive just have to be a little more selective. Then Jason met up with us in downtown San Francisco and we all rode out around the city to take photos it being pretty fun and I’m glad I came out.

Weeks ago recap

Took a trip about two hours south of San Francisco Altoni to meet up with some friends. We ended up getting there early so I took some photos of the lighthouse and of some sunglasses from yes man watches. After that we travel down the road to look for a cave which we didn’t find by the time we got lost it was already dark so we decided to go to a gas station which had Popeyes in it; can you say game changer lol.

The next day me Jose and Austin travel to San Francisco to hang out and do some night photography.

Two days after that me and Sheen drove around the East Bay to take photos of our cars and to hang out.

Muir woods

It’s been so long since the last time I updated my blog it’s pathetic how I’ve only been taking pictures and posting them on Instagram I’ve been going to so many cool places and really need to change my lack of ambition in terms of updating my blog like I used to.

Hopefully I will keep my blog up to date at least posting once a week I have so many photos from previous aventures but I don’t know if I can upload all of them and show them on my blog but I will try!

Anyways woke up and went to a event to shoot for my sister. After that meet Austin and Altoni and headed to Muir wood’s to meet up with everyone. Once we got there we had no service so we basically had to look for everyone my first impression of this place was not good and after still wasn’t good lol out of all the nature places I’ve been to this one had to be the most generic simply because I had to pay seven dollars to look at trees and branches and it wasn’t even a spectacular view so we ended up finding the group and soon after we left and went to muir beach. It was a pretty nice sunset considering getting a lot of clouds we got a decent amount of sunlight peeking through. Enjoy the photos.

Seattle with Jose

Me and the Homie Jose took a trip up to Seattle for the weekend. I ended up getting first class and was excited about that once I landed in stepped outside it was colder than I expected.I met up with Jose and Malissa.we got a pretty cool hotel room with a cold “Cityview” . Where that night we met up with my boy savov and ended up walking everywhere but it was nice to see Seattle we got kicked off of hotel buildings and missed eating at restaurants but definitely was fun!! The next day we packed and left before leaving we grabbed a burger from the bistro in the hotel and it was really good!!
